Inkwave Help

Your profile and sign-in

Set the name, picture, bio and social links readers see on your posts, and see how your account is kept secure.

Your account, not your publication

These pages belong to you as a person. What you set here follows you to every publication you are part of. Open them from your account menu: click your profile picture in the top corner, then choose Personal Info or Account Security.

Personal Info

There is no Save button. Each change saves on its own a moment after you stop typing.

Your Personal Info

FieldWhat it is
Profile PictureYour photo. Click the circle to upload an image, or the small cross to remove it.
NameYour name, between 2 and 50 characters.
BioA short line about you, up to 100 characters.

Readers see these on your website. Your name and picture appear on the posts you author, and your author page shows your bio too.

Add your profiles on X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Discord, YouTube and GitHub, plus your own Website. They appear as links on your author page, so paste the full address of each profile, starting with https://. Leave a field empty to hide it.

Account Security

How you sign in

Inkwave doesn't use passwords. You sign in either:

  • with your email address, by entering the 6-digit code we email you, or
  • with your Google account.

Because there is no password, there is nothing to change or reset here. Keep your email account secure, since access to it is access to Inkwave.

Two-factor authentication

The Two-Factor Authentication section shows Not Connected. It isn't available yet: Get Started only shows that it is coming soon.

Troubleshooting

My name won't save: it must be between 2 and 50 characters. A message under the field says what is wrong, and nothing saves until it fits.

My bio stops at 100 characters: that is the limit. Shorten it to fit.

My picture didn't upload: only image files are accepted. If it still fails, try a smaller image or another format.

A social link doesn't work on my author page: check you pasted the full address of your profile, not just your handle.

I didn't get my sign-in code: check your spam folder, then ask for a new code on the sign-in page.
