Click reports

See which links readers click, in your emails and on your website, across all issues or for one issue.

Where to find it

Click reports are the Links tab of your newsletter reports. Go to Newsletters, click Reports, then Links.

With All issues selected, two cards show your totals:

  • Email clicks: clicks on links inside delivered emails.
  • Web clicks: clicks on links in your posts' web versions.

Below them, Links ranks every tracked link by clicks:

ColumnWhat it shows
LinkThe link's address, shortened to the site and page. Hover to see it in full, or click to open it.
Email (unique)Readers who clicked it in an email, each counted once.
Email (total)Every click on it in an email, including repeat clicks.
Web (unique)Readers who clicked it on your website, each counted once.
Web (total)Every click on it on your website.

Click a column heading to sort by it.

This tab isn't limited by the date range you pick for the other report tabs.

Pick an issue from All issues at the top to see only its links. Links in this issue combines the email and web versions, so each link appears once, with Email (unique), Web (unique) and Total clicks.

You can also see one post's links on its own page, under Performance. See the A post's page guide.

How clicks are counted

Links in your emails are tracked, so a click is counted before the reader arrives at the page. A unique click counts each reader once per link, however many times they click it.

Troubleshooting

"No link clicks recorded yet.": nobody has clicked a link in your issues so far, or your issues don't contain links.

A link I sent isn't listed: links only appear here once someone has clicked them.

Email and web numbers differ a lot: they are separate audiences. A web-only post has no email clicks, and an email-only post has few web clicks.
