A post's page

See a single post's settings, how its email and web version performed, and which readers engaged with it.

Opening a post

Click a post in your Newsletters list, or choose View from its menu. The top of the page shows:

  • where it goes: Email, Web or Email and Web
  • its title, and whether it is Published or a Draft
  • View only if your role can't edit it
  • when it was last edited

Edit Post opens the editor. The arrow beside it has Delete, which permanently removes the post. Both only show if your role allows them.

The page has three tabs: Overview, Performance and Interactions. Performance and Interactions become available after publishing.

Overview

The Overview shows the post's settings and a preview:

  • Subject and Preview Text
  • Email Audience and Web Audience
  • Content Tags, or None
  • the thumbnail, title, subtitle and content
  • the email footer, with your copyright line and postal address

If the send is waiting or failed, a notice at the top says why, with what you can do. See the Why a send is held guide.

Performance

Three tabs split the numbers by where readers saw the post.

Email

CardWhat it shows
DeliveredEmails accepted by readers' mail servers, with Send attempts and Delivery rate.
Open RateWith Unique opens and Total opens.
Click Through RateWith Unique clicks and Total clicks.
Bounce RateWith Bounced.
Unsubscribe RateWith Unsubscribes and Spam reports.

Below the cards, a table lists every link in the email with its Total Clicks, Unique Clicks and CTR.

Web

Unique Views (with Total views), Click Rate and Unique Clicks (with Total clicks) for the web version, plus the same table of links.

Email & Web

Email opens and web views added together as Total Impressions, and email and web clicks added together as Total Clicks.

Interactions

  • Subscribers: your most engaged readers for this post. Each row shows their email, a status (Opened, Clicked or Unopened), when they last did something, and their total opens and clicks.
  • Poll: polls embedded in this post, with how many responses each has had and when the latest one came in.

Other things you can do from the list

Each post's menu in your Newsletters list also has:

  • Duplicate: a new draft with the same title, subtitle, thumbnail and content. Audience, email and web settings aren't copied.
  • Save as template: see the Template library guide.
  • View published post and Copy post URL, once it is published.
  • Retry send, when a send failed and nobody received it.

Troubleshooting

Performance and Interactions are greyed out: they show "Available after publishing". Publish the post first.

The numbers are all zero: they fill in as readers open and click. A web-only post has no email numbers.

Delete isn't in the menu: your role doesn't let you delete this post.
