Notification preferences
Choose which updates appear in your notification bell, and see the alerts that always reach you.
Where notifications appear
Inkwave tells you about things that happen in your publications through the bell at the top of the app. Click it to see your notifications. Each one links to the page it is about.
To choose which ones you get, open your account menu and choose Notification Preference.
These settings belong to you, not to a publication. They apply across every publication you are part of, and they don't change what anyone else on your team gets.
Always on
Some notifications tell you about a problem or someone waiting on you. These can't be turned off, so the switches are locked on:
| Notification | When you get it |
|---|---|
| Send failures | A newsletter send failed, or a scheduled send was blocked. |
| Access requests | Someone asked to join your private publication and is waiting for you. |
| Import results | A subscriber import finished, including when it failed. |
In-app notifications
These are on unless you turn them off. Use the switch beside each one. The change saves straight away.
| Notification | When you get it |
|---|---|
| Newsletter sent | A send completed, with how many people it went to. |
| Website published | Your website changes went live. |
| Newsletter comments | A reader commented on one of your published posts. |
| Team member joined | Someone accepted an invitation to your team. |
| Referral rewards | A subscriber earned a referral reward that you need to fulfil by hand. |
Turning one off stops new ones of that kind from reaching your bell. Notifications you already have stay there.
Email digests
Newsletter metrics, Daily recap and Monthly recap are summaries by email. They are marked Coming soon and can't be turned on yet.
Troubleshooting
I turned a notification off but still see old ones: switching off only affects new notifications. The ones already in your bell stay.
I can't turn off Send failures: the three Always on notifications can't be switched off, because missing them could mean a send that never went out or a reader left waiting.
A teammate gets notifications I don't: each person chooses their own, so they may have different switches on. Some notifications also only go to the owner and admins.
